Asian visas: overview
Russians have visa-free entry to a large number of Asian countries, or visa processing upon arrival at the border. Let’s consider the situation of issuing visas to the most popular Asian countries (those where a visa or entry permit is needed).
China.
The most popular direction and the most popular. Many European visa centers need to follow the example of the Chinese:- clear and reasonable deadlines for consideration of applications (about a week)- no problems with recording and queues – minimum number of failures. At the same time, the volume of issuance of Chinese visas is greater than that of many Schengen countries, but at the same time everything works without errors. For convenience, the Chinese have opened visa centers in Moscow and St. Petersburg, and consulates continue to operate in Khabarovsk, Irkutsk, Vladivostok and Yekaterinburg.
Japan.
For some reason, it is considered that it is difficult to obtain a Japanese visa. That’s not so.Although there are certain features:- you can apply only at the Embassy in Moscow (the website is here).- to make an application, you will definitely need a detailed travel plan by day with a detailed description.- it is necessary to prepay the hotel (accommodation) in Japan, you need a document about it. If these conditions are met, then the probability of approval is very high, the Japanese give visas, mostly single-entry, but the percentage of issuance is very high (according to our observations, almost 100%). And another interesting nuance: if the Japanese Embassy does not understand something in the documents, it will contact the applicant, clarify all the nuances and request to send the documents. In other words, they will do everything to ensure that the applicant receives a visa.
South Korea.
To enter, you must obtain an electronic permit in advance – K-Eta.K-ETA (Korea Electronic Travel Authorization) is an electronic permit to enter the Republic of Korea. This permit is required for citizens of foreign countries entering under a visa-free regime for the purpose of tourism, visiting relatives.- issued for 3 years – you must apply for a K-Eta at least 72 hours before entering South Korea (preferably in advance)- the registration fee, which amounts to 10,300 South Korean won (650 rubles), is paid on the website, the cards of Russian banks do not pass.Russian citizens can enter South Korea without a visa for up to 90 days, while one visit should not exceed 60 days during a period of 180 days, subject to registration of an electronic K-ETA permit.
India. You will need a visa to enter, the easiest way is to make it online or apply at the border. Electronic visas are issued for 30 days with double entry, as well as for a year or five years with multiple entry. During the year, they are allowed to stay in the country for up to 180 days, and no more than 90 days in a row. Fees (they depend on the season): a 30-day visa costs $ 10. Payment with Russian cards is not possible.
